I have'nt checked in with recent trapping laws. People trap at will around here. Just up the road from this spot a month ago, two cows were killed with backstrap and hind quarters taken only. I know the farmer would love to 'trap' the rustlers responsible.

We do. People released them after the big fur boom busted. Just hope it doesn't happen with government economists.

Kirk, this is beaver damage.
Beaver dam is downstream from these trees.
Nutria are prolific around here.

As I understand, trapping is still legal in parts of Oregan, just lots of loops to jump through.
