Interesting web site for using otherwise usless wood or what ever.  Better (and more costly) than PEG.

This was one of the first sites I looked at when thinking about getting into selling stabilized wood.  And it would be okay if I had the equipment and the time to do it myself....always a down-side somewhere.

The guy I use for my personal stabilizing charges me $8/lb plus shipping, or sometime I just trade out the wood I have for some wood he's done.  I did have one problem with the stabilizing, the Afgan Pine Cones I use on my Cartridge Pens opened up during the process, making them almost useless....  The process involved heat and vaccuum....pretty neat stuff!!!
