Can you explain exactly what you are doing and at what point you have the problem.
The only issue I have had is in ensuring that I shrank the file size down to the required kB size.
If you explain the point of failure maybe we can help.

We know this site is not easy to learn, shoot, I don't even think I have uploaded pics here, and I love to share, but don't give up. Kirk and I will come up with something that makes it easier to use or understand, even for non computer types like us.

Welcome to the forum, by the way!

Ok, the quick take of doing this: Long ago, on Contractor Talk and other forums, photos taken by my camera were always too large, and I was told to use an editing program. I found that using Xat image optimizer, the free version, worked great for those of us who are not computer savvy or literate. I posted the link.

Using this will enable anyone to edit the size of the file by using "compression", the fist in the tool bar, and cropping, to get to a file size of 40kb. No need to use drop box or the gallery if you want the fastest shortcut. Just down load the xat software, it is safe, and I posted the link, and use the free version, and get busy!

Here is another one, took all of 30 seconds to get the file down to 40kb.

I almost forgot how to do this, since our cell phones now will download directly to facebook or the other forums. Later, I will see if I can take a picture and posh it on the site without editing the image.

How many Sq ft?
Insulated?
Metal throughout?
Steel company that manufactured it?

Those pictures are from a current project I am on. The building shown is a 100 x 100 x 16 clear span Taylor Building Systems. That is the "small" building on the site, the pump shown in the next picture is placing concrete on the "large" building, 100 wide x 380 feet long, the main structure. The large building is insulated, and has 10 ton bridges for cranes and 11,600 sq/ft of offices also. The smaller building is not insulated, and is to be a warehouse. All steel, "red iron" main frames. Cost about $6 a sq/ft for the steel package.

That's a nice building, what are they gonna be using it for?

Truck terminal and repair facility for Producers Service Corporation....a fracking company dealing with the horizontal well drilling boom here.

$6 a foot, is that including the floor?

No, that is the steel package. The "kit" if you prefer.  You know how you hear "The General" pricing buildings at like 80 grand for an 80 x 100? Well, it is higher then market, obviously.

Putting up these large buildings typically goes for $6 a sq/ft labor and the concrete represents another $6. By the time you add the doors, you have close to $20 a sq/ft in a typical clear span building.

What's the snow load rating for one of those 8)

lol I was thinking the same thing!  Those of us in snow country hafta think different than others.  However, I think it would be awesome to be able to build something without having to worry about snow load.  Just enough to hold up the tin and off you go!  Easy peasy, that would be.

Top left of the page next to your avatar and name, which is under the Saw & Timber banner, just to the right is a set of links that says "Show unread posts since last visit" and "Show new replies to your posts".  Is this what you mean you're trying to find?  It's the only two I use...

Oh - I see what you're after now. lol

I don't know about email notifications.  I don't know if there is that option here or not.  I just come here twice a day and check on what's going on with my fellow free folks.

Ok Ox, I figured it out...
Go up to the top and click on profile, you will get a "modify profile" come up. Click on it and a window will open, 4th down I think is notifications, click on that and you can set up to get emails when someone posts..
