Curious to know what work boots you wear, like, prefer, hate, or otherwise.

Just went to a new pair of Double H western work, square steel toed.  Hurt my feet and legs, high heel, toes down walking style which I'm not used to.  Ordered a new insole for arch support and we'll see what happens.

I used to like Georgia boots but my last experience with them left me sour and I won't give them any more of my money if I can help it.  I had Georgia Giants and of course the famous pull-on Mud Dogs.

I wore rocky for a while but the last ones I got the quality went to shit. in fact I was wearing them monday while pulling a tree out of the woods and half the sole decided it needed a siesta. I am now on the search for good boots again. Unfortunately I really got to liking the zipper on the inside of the boot. Makes putting them on and taking them off so much nicer. may have to look at a tactical 5.11 boot.

Its hot here, I normally wear high and low top hikers. If I wear boots its a pair of pull on snake proof boots I got at Cabelas. I bought them for the obvious reason (I've lots of moccasins here) but they ended up being so comfortable I wear them all the time. In fact I bought a second pair of identical boots for when the first set wears out because every time I like something they either discontinue it or change it. I have 2 pair of identical Motorcycle specific shoes also!

Yikes.  Aren't they also called cottonmouths because the inside of their mouths are white when open and threatening?

Yes, water moccasins and cottonmouths are the same thing.

A truer statement has never been made. 
It doesn't matter what it is, if you like it they will change or discontinue it.  If it is junk then it lives on forever.
One of the mysteries of the world.  Buying two of something you like and holding one in reserve is good judgement.

Trying Carolina Lineman's boot this year
Lower heal than a logger, composite toe, EH rated

FWIW I have had great luck with Double H boots.
I have a pair of Packers and my son has a pair
of cowboys that we have had fully resoled.

I was told/shown to take a boot you might be interested in and grab it by the toe and heel and twist really hard and rough.  The stiffer the better.  I've been following this for years and it makes a big difference, especially out in the woods and in rough walking.

Glad to hear about the Double Hs and that you guys like em.

Very true about the good stuff always being discontinued too.

Got different insoles with a high arch support and it made a world of difference in my new boots.  I'm pretty happy with them now.  Old insoles and the new boots didn't have hardly any arch support and I guess that's what was hurting most.  When looking for new insoles I came across some that was $40 or more!  Couldn't believe it.  Got some that are around $15, called WalkHero.  Blue ones.  From Amazon.  Good buy I think and good reviews too.

Home Depot has boots on their Special of Buy for today.  Some have steel/aluminum/composite toes and others are just plain toe.  I bought a pair of Carhartt boots about 5 years ago and they are wearing fairly well.  Made in Mexico at that time.
