Since I live just a bit south of the initial nexus of the Covid19 foothold in the US I see a lot of local reports and activity as everyone is near frantic.  THE nursing home has a death rate (% of residents) that is just mind boggling.  Schools, state wide, are closed and most likely will not reopen until next fall at this point.  Lose half a year of school and what are they going to do.  Hold everyone back, not graduate the seniors, Yeah Right!

What is the feel of things in your area? 
Are folks concerned, mildly, or a lot? 
Are there shortages as folks are stockpiling?

Here it started with toilet paper and disinfectants but now there is no chicken left in the stores and even beef is in rather short supply. Milk runs out quickly as well.  Would never have believed just how fragile it is.  ( I knew it was, just not this fragile) 

It would be funny if it wasn't.  Kind of like in an old horror B movie, end of the world apocalypse type movie.

As luck would have it I retired the 1st of February (Feds say I am too old to work anymore) and now I am just staying away from folks.  Not hard for me to do since I am a bit of a hermit anyway.  I go out and work in my forest and have been planting seedlings for the last several weeks.  Keeps me busy.

The math simply doesn't work when you look at the numbers. That said, the fear is worse then the potential risk, in my opinion. And, if the economy goes over a cliff, what will living conditions actually be like for millions of families?

I would say that is states follow Pennsylvania's example, closing the rest areas and truck stops, then what happens are trucking comes to a halt? The local warehouses won't be getting supplied, so in a few weeks, there will be real shortages of food and necessities. Already, we are seeing city folks traveling to our small towns to shop local stores, and buy up short supply items....

Lots of people I see now going with holstered carry, instead of concealed carry.....so yeah, interesting times ahead. Personally, I kind of think we may see the numbers of cases begin a sharp decent in the next few weeks, and then the media will push the fear saying it isn't over yet....first wave, and crap like that, but the public, by and large, are getting really tired of the fear being pushed.

I think it's a bunch of fearmongering for whatever reasons those on the left have.  The beer virus kills much less than the normal flu, no children die from it (unlike regular flu), and we don't hear a thing about it.  Hell, the leftist media has it whipped up into "if you get the Commie Cough you're a dead person".  What are the ulterior motives?  THAT is what makes me nervous.  Kind of feels like a dry run for nationwide martial law or something.

As far as politicians closing down rest areas and truck stops?  How retarded.  Even a 5 year old knows this is a bad idea.  Doesn't exactly give me a warm, fuzzy feeling about those in charge.

I'm thoroughly disgusted with the whole thing.  The public bought tail tape and butt fluff FIRST THING!  Not thinking of food, but wiping their asses.  I'm embarrassed to be called an American with these dolts.

I do my best to stay out of the politics but it appears the Democrat controlled states are on a mission to do all they can to create panic, fear, and crash the economy in hopes of making their bid for their candidate easier. 

They have all lost touch with reality and God help us if we ever are faced with areal situation, like an actual war on our land.

The sky is falling the sky is falling. Was talking to my doctor he said the news media is blowing this all out of proportion and have the population running scared. He said the death rate for this virus is less than common types of the flu. I suppose its easy to say this when you have enough toilet paper in the cabinet. The economic damage done by this scare is staggering. Frank C.

Thats it for sure only way to defeat Trump is to make him look bad, no matter the cost.
have the left listened to Biden hes confused a lot at town halls & speeches. plus his scandals & just creepy

There are over 100 new cases a day here, Orange county, N.Y.  I have put cones across the drive way. People are home and want wood for projects. Gloves, mask and that's your pile over there and leave the money under that stone, no shopping, no first time customers, my way or no way.                          We had no winter, the first early spring in years and the best economy ever.  I hope we do better than the ash trees.

consider wipeing down the money its dirtyer than there hands i'll bet.
tuesday they shutdown springfield,Mo. everybody soposed to stay home but construction still going
but bolivar & humansville still open
