WOW is what comes to mind! Awesome tool! I cut over 300 18" long 4x4 white oak blocks for rescue cribbing and this saw didnt miss a beat! I purchased it last year for my wifes shop along with the portable stand. I wasnt sure what to expect with the rough cut white oak but everyone helping me agreed, this is one great saw!
My hats off to Bosch!

What does something like that cost, Kirk. I might have to put it on Alice's wish list for the hobby shop and then she would discover that she did not want such a noisey thing and not enough room. Hee hee haw ;D

I got mine from Amazon last year and with rebates and coupons it was $495.00. The saw by itself was selling for $550.00 at the woodworking show.

I guess I can wait. I have a Bosch roto hammer, I got from a friend a couple years ago for $200. It was brand new. Perhaps another might help in the same kind of way. What do you think, Kirk?

I think I could arange a sliding compound miter saw for, lets say, ......................a Parker :)

You forgot the plural on the word saw. ;D
Woops!

You got more than one?

I'd have to say just about everything Bosch is excellent! Their new model table saw with the gravity stand is awesome and I was waiting for the new model to come out before I bit the bullet because my portable saw was disintegrating fast.
Then on Black Friday less than a month or so ago I saw the Rigid table saw on sale for that one day. From about $500 down to $299 so I snatched up the last one in the store (Home Depot). I've used it a ton and its a fantastic saw. Half of what the new model Bosch would have cost and its basically the same saw withthe same stand.http://www.asktooltalk.com/reviews/stationary/ridgid-table-saw.php

Nothing wrong with their quality...we use Dewalt exclusively, simply because our tool repair center keeps parts on hand. The blade is half of the saw, and can make or break the opinion.

i use a 12"Dewalt slideing compound & love it have only tryed Dewalt's 80 tooth blade on it so far great machine

I picked up a 80 tooth Forest Woodworker II blade at the Indy show. I have yet to find a better blade on the market.

Mike,
When you go to have it sharpened "DO NOT" send it out to anyone else other than to Forrest. Anyone else will ruin it! I think Forrest even ahas a sharpening program you can join. They are the best blades hands down. You can occasionally find deal on Ebay...I look every day but people are always biddingthe price up to just about cost anyway.
