Title: crashed praise god
Post by: mike p on October 02, 2009, 10:24:35 PM
well i was test driveing a dune buggy wednesday & when i shifted in to 4 th gear & hit the gas on gravel road it put me back in the seat during the rear ward movement the stering wheel came off in my hand as my arm came rearward holding sterring wheel my elbo hit the sterring brake that caused the right rear wheel to lock up while under hard acceleration in high gear. it cut right whent through the ditch up the bank sheared off a fence post hit a tree & flipped side over side at least once then end over end  once landing back in the road upside down.
i was throne completly out of the cage landed in road about 15' from buggy , one shoe gone , no glasses & still holding the sterring wheel.
well i hobbled down to the neares house holding my fore head to gether with palm of hand the lady there frecked out said she couldnt call for help couse she was on the phone but she would take me in her car back to work she keep saying im sorry im on the phone while we were in the car going to my work
well 6 hours later they finaly put 8 stitches in my forhead & 2 in my elbow got road rash all over left shoulder knot on right knee & hide missing
but praise god i limped away

The steering wheel in your hands has me really worried.  Who did the attatching of that wheel?   You are a very lucky person, for sure.
