Title: Caterpillar Winch
Post by: HaroldCR - AKA Fla.-Deadheader on November 03, 2009, 11:56:52 AM

I'm looking for a Winch for a Cat D5C, 1994 year model. Dealers in the US don't seem to want to respond to emails I have sent ???  Suits me just fine. Private deals are usually much better, anyway.

We use a dozer to drag logs off the mountains, and, a GOOD winch is needed for the recent purchase of the Cat Dozer.  Thanks for ANY assistance.

I have bought parts from these guys before.

If you locate the winch, I would be happy to help you get it shipped to CR.

If you could find the time to contact them, It would be greatly appreciated. Might have to drive up or fly up and rent a pickup to haul one back to the shipping agents warehouse.

Be a good way to get to visit for a day or 3.  ;D ;D

Yup, they ain't cheap. Problem is, to just find one. Really have to find a salvage-stripping yard. Once on a machine, there is not much reason to take it off.  ::) ::) ::)

Called my son to have him contact the guy. Haven't heard a peep, yet  ::) ::) >:( >:( ;D

Finally had my buddy get back to me. I made sure he was sitting down, and, it's a good thing  :o :o

I have been looking all over the web, and found a similar machine WITH Winch, for $17,000.00  ::) ::)

He is really interested in THAT machine, never mind it could take $15,000.00 to put in in shape  ::) ::) ::)

These people think a LOT different than we do  ::) ::) ::)

Certainly appreciate the help, though.  Thank You
