I'm looking for a Winch for a Cat D5C, 1994 year model. Dealers in the US don't seem to want to respond to emails I have sent ??? Suits me just fine. Private deals are usually much better, anyway.
We use a dozer to drag logs off the mountains, and, a GOOD winch is needed for the recent purchase of the Cat Dozer. Thanks for ANY assistance.
-
I have bought parts from these guys before.

If you locate the winch, I would be happy to help you get it shipped to CR.

Thanks. I will check out the link. ;D
-
Hey hombre...
I dont have anything newer on my place than 1950 in the dozer department, maybe Frank Pender can put us onto something?! ;D
Oh I was wondering how many chicas you have collected while down there?
-
Solo Una Chica ;D ;D ;D
Don't you guys have salvage yards for heavy equipment, up your way ???
I have emailed several places, and not one has responded ??? No wonder businesses are closing. SERVICE is the number ONE way to keep a business going ???
-
Yea one is PLENTY
I have a salvage place near red bud Illinois that could do some good???
-
If you could find the time to contact them, It would be greatly appreciated. Might have to drive up or fly up and rent a pickup to haul one back to the shipping agents warehouse.
Be a good way to get to visit for a day or 3. ;D ;D
-
Harold, I will do some calling around and see what I can find. I know a few folks that might be able to help. Please give me a few days to contact these folks. ;D
-
Appreciate the help, Frank. Thanks
-
Got it found, depending on whether you have as high stat or not cat. His number is 1-503-623-2015
-
Now that was fast! Way to go Frank! Hope it works for you Harold!
-
I will call my Son tonight, and have him call the guy tomorrow.
Should have posted, it's a hystat rig, Frank.
Thanks a BUNCH.
-
It will run around $18,000. :o
-
Yup, they ain't cheap. Problem is, to just find one. Really have to find a salvage-stripping yard. Once on a machine, there is not much reason to take it off. ::) ::) ::)
Called my son to have him contact the guy. Haven't heard a peep, yet ::) ::) >:( >:( ;D
-
I do believe that they have both in stock. Keep me posted on your success, or failure.
-
Will do, Frank. Are they new ??? Where are they located ???
-
Located in a small community area East of Portland, called Boring. I beleive I understood them to be new, but I could be mistaken.
-
There is a hyster winch on e-bay right now for a cat dozer.
cant remember what size cat.
Thanks Alot Mr Mom
-
Thanks for the Link. Can't find what dozer this would work on ???

Finally had my buddy get back to me. I made sure he was sitting down, and, it's a good thing :o :o
I have been looking all over the web, and found a similar machine WITH Winch, for $17,000.00 ::) ::)
He is really interested in THAT machine, never mind it could take $15,000.00 to put in in shape ::) ::) ::)
These people think a LOT different than we do ::) ::) ::)
-
No go on the winch I found for you? :'(
-
No Frank. It's not my deal. I'm just trying to help a good friend. As you may know, times are tough.
Certainly appreciate the help, though. Thank You
