Title: A Prayer that covers all we need
Post by: The WoodButcher on February 06, 2008, 04:39:30 PM
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and Glory Forever. Amen
Matt. 6:9

Take comfort in this prayer, I believe this prayer covers all of our needs and we should pray this before,... all of our other prayers, or I do anyhow. May God Richly Bless All of You and Yours.

I have always recited the Lord's Prayer, with the added special prayers before ending.....it does fit.

I hope we all ask ourselves though, what does "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done" mean. And I hope that we actually apply it to our lives - if have been truly transformed by Him.

I always ask God to guide me in the way.....the only thing I ask for myself. My prayer list is a long one, and when I am driving, I think about those that need God's blessings, and say a little prayer for them.

My drive time now includes the New Testimant on CD called the Word of Promise.  My wife got it for me a few months ago and it is the best, bar none, of any biblical tape or cd I have ever listened to.
