Frank Pender - Spotlight article in trade publication
« on: March 24, 2015, 11:19:47 PM »
Just got my copy of Independent Sawmill and Woodlot Magazine (March 2015) and found an excellent article on one of our members, Frank Pender, AKA Tail Gunner.  Great expose on the many ways he interacts with, and supplies woodworkers - not only in his area but around the country.

Congratulations Frank,  ;D

I went looking and might have to subscribe.  Good Job Frank.  Hopefully his computer woes will be fixed shortly.

It says you're on your third mill, is that third MD mill or you have three mills?

Third MD mill.  I had a chance, many moonsa ago to purchase theonly two MD mills with hydraulices to load, turn and dog down logs.  I puchased the irst from the factory and the second from a man in Culdasac, Idaho.  I sold the second to a friend.  I also have a Hudson bandsaw 36"  I use on occasion to cut burl.  In addition, I have a big head rig witha 52" saw blade I have been wanting to sell for quite some time.  I have not used this one, for several years.
A friend, from North Carolina, brought his LT40 out here to cut turning stock that he sells all over the country.  He leaves the mill here and I get to use any time I want.  He travels back a forth and is due back in about 7 weeks.  He is looking to move out here in the very near future.
