Cooks toothe setter
« on: August 13, 2015, 08:18:54 PM »
The tooth setter developed a clunk so I pulled it apart and replaced a broken bolt that holds the bushing/bearing
While I had it apart I found two were bearings and one was a brass bushing and the other a harder bushing.
Since several on here use the same tooth setter I was wondering if yours runs bearings or bushings. The brass was a bit soft and was being eroded by the bolt that rides on it.

Don't know.  I have never had mine apart.  Will have to take a look?

If my memory is correct you might have a problem getting a straight answer from manufacturer.  Just don't tell them who you are when you call?
