We got rain from it today but nothing of any concern.

I am far enough away that it has not effected us but they sure have been hit hard down there.  That one train that was derailed by the water was amazing.

Just saw on our local news that San Jose, major City in Costa Rica is inundated with rain. Rivers actually running through the city in various communities. LOTS of vehicles to be trashed. Most were 75% under water.

You are down there yourself aren't you?  How much rain have you had at your place?
From earlier pictures I thought you were up a bit on a high spot but still that is a lot of rain.

 Furu
You are correct on all counts. San Jose is located in the Central Valley. All water funnels mostly through the city, through drainage ditches, probably a radius of 7-8 miles, 11Kms.

We can get 1" for every 10-12 minutes.

Just watched the news, they are getting more, today. One spot had 31 cars towed away. Water was above bus tires, which are 36" tire diameter or more.  ::) One taxi went into a hole in the road, probably a man hole and 3 occupants died.
