Maintenance day
« on: January 04, 2016, 11:01:50 PM »
When we got back from the last road trip the maintenance list was growing.
Intermittent hydraulic pump issues
preheater puffed smoke and quite
main drive belt shredded, one of the three cut off
starter siliniod quite
bad rail bearing
wet sawdust in every nook and cranny
all chains needing greased
several bad wires that had been spliced or needed new ends
along with a few other tinkering's

along with all this is an up grade from the lead fuses to a heavier.
I have rewired the 5x7x5 fuse box once before when it caught fire and the use of two pair of twelve inch needle nose pliers is a must to rebuild the ship in a bottle.
There is room for a 8x10x5 box in the same space. So I am building a new fuse box before rewiring it this time around.

Back to making sawdust in the morning.

the last picture is the new type of fuse

225 Amps?  450 Amps?  OMG!!!!!!

What are those for?  That's way past what you need for burning solenoid contacts and way way past what you need for welding 1/4" steel.

Did you get the whole list done in I day, over here most thing take around 3 times longer than planned and then you run across other things that need attention..  Steve
