Answered in the other thread you posted in but here is the same answer.

Where are you located?
They are not that far apart and you could make a trip and visit both manufacturers.  Also visit folks that have the mills. I think there are more TK's out there than Bakers but I could be wrong so finding someone to watch mill with theirs might be easier for one than the other.

Not that familiar with the Baker other than the research I did prior to my mill purchase.  I have a TK2200 and it is a well designed mill.  I believe the 2000 is also well designed.

I'm located centrally between both of them in versailles mo.

I run a TK B20 with over 11000 hours, right at first I had to reengineer a couple of things and since then it's been real reliable  with no on going problems.  I've seen Bakers only on you tube but they sure look like a well built sturdy mill.  On the muddy water subject I think any hydraulic mill is going to be more trouble free than one with a lot of electric gadgets,  Don't forget Cooks either, looks to be well made with all hydraulics and maybe 2 hyd clamps and 2 chain turners ?which would both be a plus.  Steve

If your going to do a lot of big logs looks at how big these mills will saw, the new TK 2000 has 16" above the blade and the blade goes up to 36" above the deck with 37 " between the post and 32" between the guide rollers.  Any odd shaped logs just put the hump up and saw.  No idea what the Baker or Cooks capacity's  are.  Steve

My old Boss got that Baker Bluestreak not long ago.  Man, that thing is nasty.  That thing would be my top choice.  65hp Cummins and it costs under $40k.  Built like a burlap bag full of bobcats.

The Baker Bluestreak won that portable sawmill shooutout this year, the other brands you're looking at didn't even compete in it.  What does that tell you?
