OK, this is getting expensive to operate............NOT!

As many of you know, we have never, and will never, ask for donations.  You will never hear any fabricated sob stories about my health and family in hopes of sympathy donations either.

A recent glitch in getting photos to upload pointed to our server package needing upgraded.   The annual cost of running this site was $59.00 for the server, and about $25 a year for the web hosting. 

We had hit the limit of 500 mb and had to bump it up a bit.  Server space is cheaper now than I ever imagined.

We now have 10 GB of space and it is costing us a whopping $83.88 a year! 

So the next time you hear people begging for money because it costs SO MUCH to run their site, tell them to pound sand!

i told him to pound sand and put things that don't belong in places that don't fit,plus i gave him my opinion on his additude towards others.told him to quit whining about being broke.. guess what ? yup i got escorted to the door. furu gave me the heads up about this forum. man i love it here  ;D

You understand the meaning of integrity and honor.  That is the difference.

Recently there was a deceased member's mill and equipment sold through the other site.  The man selling it for the widow had to put the standard disclaimer of how much would be given to the site for posting the ad. 

Five percent commission from the widow's sales price of the mill and other equipment is a lot of money that I am quite certain the widow could use right now.  Maybe it was waived for the circumstances but really?  It would make a lot of folks feel better about the guy if he had stated that he waived the 5%.   5% of 30k is a lot of money in his pocket that would be better off in the widows pocket.
