While you maybe correct in that we don't need to hear but what may very well be more important is what do you need?

My point is:

Sometimes being able to vent about your frustrations helps.
Sometimes a different perspective from another individual can help.

Bottom line, from my point of view is: If it helps you handle the stress and frustrations of what you are going through don't feel as if you can't open up.

While the concept of friendship on a web board may be a bit of a stretch for someone 20 years ago, social media and on-line contacts have changed things.  "Friends" talk and help each other out if they can.

Red Oak, PM's (piss/ moan) is like a pulse, if it can relieve some of your back pressure have at it. Seems my life revolves around danged wood if I'am not burning it I'am cutting, splitting, milling or cleaning up after it, worst is trying to get paid for it. Frank C.

ok guys.put your ear plugs in place ;D
i have to take you back a couple years. it started with my health, my spine and neck was grinding and burning with every move. after seeking out a specialist i under went 5 neck injections with zero benefits >:(add insult to injury the insurance co. claimed pre exsisting  so i got stuck with a $15,000 bill, which i made payments for services not rendered.
last year my issues continued down hill,my shoulders hardley worked my spine from tip to tail ground and burned even without moving. you guys know what's involved in handling lumber >:( i started being treated for rhumatoid arthritis (5 differant meds) nothing seemed to help.still cronic pain.
let's fast forward to this winter,i had 2 surguries for cancer and in between them i had 3 bones fused in my foot. all the while working full time at the mill.it's a bastard trying to do things while using crutches ;D iv'e already spoken out about our equipment struggles and our lack of wood. i did get a vurable commitment for 900 cords of logs, problem is that might not start until late may.
one might think my whole lumber business keeps me busy but, i also farm alittle over 1,000 acres :o i have a beef herd of 80 cows which i grass finish the youngstock,i also raise buffalo only 30 of them,i also farrow and finish about 200 market hogs per year plus i sell close to 500 big round bales of hay per year. are you tired yet?
the past year my son and i have been working on a transition plan, he's taking control of the day to day operation and i'm going into a consulting position. this is new territory for me,even if everything is running smooth there are so many moving parts to keep track of.wood will always be in my blood but, my heart isn't in it 100%. my health issues made me look at every aspect of my life and i want to focus on my farm which is alot slower pace. only 12 hour days ;D
oh i forgot to add ,this winter i sought out a dr that only specializes in lymes diease.yup 2 months after starting treatment with her,i don't have any pain and i stopped take my arthritis meds.yeah ;D
so, enough about my whiney self. if you want me to elaborate on anything just ask.thanks steve
p.s you can remove your ear plugs ;D

I presume the new specialist actually tested you and you came back positive for Lymes.
In your neck of the woods I can't believe that the other doctors did not run a Lymes titer (either the IgG for recent infection or the IgM  for chronic infection) years back when the symptoms first started.  It is not like your area's ticks are not well known for being vectors for Lymes.  Especially with you being a woodsman/farmer/rancher etc., not like you have not been exposed to them suckers.

Glad that you are showing significant improvement on that front.  I have known of folks that are diagnosed and treated for RA when they had Lymes and if it is left untreated long enough there are permanent joint and sometimes neurological effects even after treatment is finally complete.
In young kids Lymes can have developmental effects on the brain if left untreated long enough. (Family member on wife's side about 15 years ago)

Not everyone.
I have noticed over the past months that folks drift away on weekends

Any update on the WM issues?

the junk keeps breaking >:( even the hydralic hoses that were assembled at the factory and run in the frame are rubbing and bursting on sharp burrs left behind during manufacturing. really? is this the first equipment wm had made?no but the quality or lack there of sure seems to fit with a sub par company. yes the hoses are covered under warranty but, it dosen't cover our down time or the fluid that is lost because of piss poor quality.i could keep going but whats the point >:( >:(
