New guy

Well at least new to this sight.
I just stumbled across it and see some folks I used to see on the FF site, so decided to join.

A little about me, compared to a lot of you I am a novice, never logged for a living, unless you count cutting firewood for a year, and that was years ago.
Never milled for a living, or even commercially.
I do have an old LT40 and so far have enjoyed it.
I make my living trucking, part of which comes from my log truck, so I do know some about logging here under local conditions..
I like reading about the different types of logging and milling in other areas.

We have had some unusually warm weather this year, actually too warm as it has been keeping us out of the woods.
How did you know where I am located, I was just looking for a way to put my location as you posted. lol

How did you know where I am located,

I failed to answer that part earlier.  I made the logical (or so I thought) assumption that you were the same starmac as on the other place.  Guess I was right.

I don't keep a pin on my location for multiple reasons (none of which maybe valid but that is just me) but I did just go in and try it to see if it would work.  I just dropped a pin in what I thought was the PNW, then expanded the map and realized it was not even close.  I then deleted the pin expanded the map again and reset it and it seemed to work.   When you clicked on the map did it not drop a red teardrop type pin on the location that you selected or did you not find the map and the option to click on a location?

Furu, I guess it did work, I was just expecting my location to come up on the left, under my name. I saw on another thread where you explained to another member that the only the country would show up, so I don't feel quite so dumb now. lol
