Resaw Service
« on: March 26, 2008, 09:39:14 AM »
I had a local come to the door this morning wanting some 7' oak boards sawed in half.  Basically take the full 2"x6" boards and make 1"x6" boards.  One pass per board and he only had 7 boards and they were about 7' long.

I didnt charge him for my 10 minutes of work as being a local I know it will come back to me in logs one way or another.

I currently have a large resaw job to knock out and want to make sure we are fair with the customer but not sure if charging by the BF or by the hour is the fairest way to go.

What I was wondering, what is a fair price to resaw lumber, by the BF or by the hour?

If you have some of the owners for help, perhaps halfs your regular fee?
