I believe the largest spruce in the spruce in the world is in Oregan.  I recall seeing the state sign for it when we were out there last June.

Thats the one steve.  It is a monster and very sad to see it die but that is the life cylce we are in. 

I had no idea when I first saw it that Sitka spruce got so big.  I know on the coast in Alaska there were some big ones but nothing like that unless it was in the Southeast portion. Most of the interior Sitka are smaller than 8" diameter.
