When I get some time I will post the pics of the CottonWood log that kicked my backside for pretty much an entire afternoon. Nothing like pushing the limits on the size your mill can handle! While I got some great boards out of it, I bet I still have a couple hours of cutting to finish the darn thing.
Trim, turn, lift, shift, trim, drop, trim, lift and partially turn, trim, turn little more, trim. Crap, all that lifting on the big small end pushed it far enough back my blade did not exit on that last trim. Ever back out of a 17 foot cut on a cottonwood? JOY! Ok, log far enough off center I can't turn it anymore because of all the weight on one end.
