They will definitely NOT eat up all the fish in your pond, but they will clean up the sick and dying ones.. I'm a turtle fan... and have lots of them in my ponds, AND lots of fish!

Sorry to differ. But any farmer in our area tells any pond owner to shoot the snappers or they will clean you out. Sorry but I've seen it happen. I love turtles but not snappers. Anything as mean as a snapper wont live on my farm. I'll help a normal turtle off the road any day... a snapper I'll drive over it...

Snapping turtles are carnivores and will eat anything they can take a bite out of.

Snapping turtles kill other turtles by decapitation.

They will kill all you'r ducks and geese...

They eat my frogs... Much rather have frogs...

Snapping turtles are blamed for the deaths of aquatic birds.

as a young teenager used to go over to the farmers Pond and he would Supply us with 22 shells at his expense as long as we use them to shoot Turtles out of his Ponds. They will clean out your fish

Jeeps and axles don't mix well during heavy off road use, do they?

can't really complain that front end has 170,000 very hard miles on it. The ring and pinion has been a trooper. I noticed last time I took the cover off I had a small chunk missing off a tooth. Now I am thinking it is a large chunk. I get alot of driveline slap every 4.1 revolutions of the wheel :)

Oh well. It was fun :)

My only ring and pinion encounter was on a 1970 AMC Javilin years go, broke a tooth and it locked up the rear end at 70 mph.. talk about a ride!!

My first circular mill was set up beside a good sized brook, creek, stream, kill, branch ( choose the term for your area) with the sawdust pile just feet from the water. Snappers would lay- em coons would eat-em. The lady on the property had a dock and would feed bread to the snappers. If she stood on the dock the turtles would all show up. I've been told that when snappers get large and old they become vegetarians because their too slow to catch pray. Frank C.

here it is. ALL DONE!

http://www.rockmodified.com/me/2019-07-05.jpg

Just need to make toe boards and log loader and do a test cut to check my alignment.

Hopefully get test cutting out of the way saturday or sunday. Of course just as soon as I get the mill done it starts raining out.
