« on: February 15, 2019, 02:53:38 PM »
Lordy, I hope these new breed, and even some of the old hags in the dumbacratic party, never gets hold of the reins.

It takes a special kind of DUMB to trade 3 billion nonexistent dollars over a 10 year period and kill 25,000 high paying jobs, millions in property taxes, and payroll taxes, untold other jobs employeed by lots of other small businesses, spawned by Amazon and brag about you showed him, and the richest man in the world can not just come in and pay the state of New York billions if they don't want him too. lol

Aoc and Warren, even deblasio to a certain is bragging about they didn't have to spend 3 billion that they never had, will never have had and never would have had, to keep from making a projected 27 billion bucks. Talk about a special kind of STUPID, but is just what I expected out of them.

What do you expect based upon her understanding of basic economics.  May have received a degree (note I did not say earned a degree) in economics but does not get it.  She parlayed her training and education into a job as a bartender.  WOW!  Nothing wrong with the job but not what she should have been doing after her educational training.

Unfortunately she is not alone.  Remember that you deserve a living wage even if you "choose not to work".
Even the early settlers who tried forming a socialist community found that those communities failed as people did not work harder for things that were given to those who freeloaded.  After periods of failure the settlers were allowed to have/keep some of their own work results and then the communities thrived.
There are aspects of socialism that may  have short term benefits but in the long term it is a recipe for failure.
I am not going to bust my butt for you unless you are part of my family.  That is basic nature.  Don't tell me that we need to change our basic human nature so that we care about everyone the same and are willing to do for a complete stranger things that they can do just as well for themselves.  None of us would work as hard if we did not see the benefit of our work and saw that benefit go to someone that refuses to work.
That is what she believes and stands for.

You guys are spot on.

I think Democrats champion socialism because it keeps them at the top and in power endlessly.  Many younger people champion it because they think money is magical and all the government has to do is print more.  They don't know a thing about inflation.  These people are also lazy, self serving and self centered.  They can't see past the end of their nose when planning for the future.  They think they are so damn special that everyone else owes them a living.  This is what is coming out of our public schools.  It's all structured this way on purpose.

I hope the "free" states, many of the southern ones, will succeed after the Dems get power.  It's just a matter of time, but the Dems will be in full control of everything.  Then the proverbial shit will hit the fan and all hell will break loose.  It'll be chaos.

Hopefully then the stories will come true and Jesus will come back and get this show on the road.

Well OX the time is coming, hopefully I will be long gone, but I sure feel for what a mess we have left future generations. As far as the south, every state has their problems with percentages of folks with the gimme mindset, and it is growing at an alarming rate.

You're right about that - the gimme mindset is definitely a problem.  I don't know how to stop that one without violence.  You can't talk to those types of people.  You just can't.  I realize there is no perfect anything, including places to live.  There are pros and cons to everything and those pros and cons change from person to person.  It's all subjective.  But all in all, the southern states have my vote.  Better people, more God fearing, better gun laws, cheaper taxes, cheaper living, better weather, etc.  New York is a shit hole and now they've legalized killing babies at full term.  They'll be paying for all that for an eternity.

I'm not sure that there is a fix to any of this without violence.  It's weird to say, but peace must be won with violence.  You simply can't show those people the facts and the cause and effect of things in the real world.  You literally have to beat them into submission and keep the threat of that hanging over their heads to get peace and prosperity.  Why is that?  How depressing.

Well the northern most state has my vote, nothing against the south other than the heat and chiggers, well bugs in general. lol

Sadly we have our share of the snowflakes too, but life here can be brutal if one doesn't work.

If you get out of the largest cities, which are few and far between here, common sense is still pretty common, for the most part.

Hell, now since Trump passed a national emergency to get the wall funded to stop traffickers and drugs and all that, the dems are saying "a democratic president could pass a national emergency to repeal the 2nd amendment".  That is one mistake they will NOT want to make.  Just when I thought they couldn't get any dumber or more radical they come out with this.  F'n TRAITORS!!!

Well they certainly could not repeal it but as the SCOTUS has ruled in previous rulings, laws can be passed that effect the ownership of firearms that are protected by the 2nd Amendment.  Just look around at what is happening.
Note the plethora of laws that have been passed that only law abiding people follow and the criminals don't thus are at best ridiculous and are really nothing but a joke.

I can see something happening in the future, similar to a previous president who made executive orders that were eventually overturned by SCOTUS, declaring an emergency order.   That future president may not see the 2nd Amendment as a right but instead as an impediment to his way of thinking.
In the meantime he declares all semi auto weapons illegal and subject to confiscation.  Eventually it is overturned but in the meantime what is the result?

In my stupid state there was a citizens petition passed back in November that defined all semi-autos as assault rifles.  Yes grandpa's squirrel gun is now a assault rifle.
Oregon has a proposed law on the agenda in the state legislature this session that would ban all weapons capable of firing more that 5 bullets/cartridges.  Yes that means every (well nearly every) revolver made would be illegal forget about every semi auto pistol made.  Many semi auto shotguns, most pumps and even some bolt action deer rifles would be illegal.

Now don't get me wrong I fully support the ideas and concept of this southern barrier to stop the inflow of illegal immigration.  However I do have some misgivings about the emergency order and the potential unintended consequences that may result in the future.
I fully support the immigration of folks that want to become citizens and have passed the checks or even just legal workers but what has been happening has to stop. We do not need the lowest of the low for our immigrants. Forget about the trafficking and the drugs.  Folks that say they want to be here but run around waving flags from some country that they say they had to leave from for safety and refusing to assimilate into the greatest melting pot in history and then effectively trying to turn the US into the same disaster that they left is not what is right, good or acceptable.

On top of that to be a citizen you have to pass an English language test.  Well how can you vote but have the courts rule that ballots and voters pamphlets have to be in a language that you understand.  Five languages in my county are available to vote in.  Don't get it.

It certainly is maddening.

I truly believe that the mindset of the liberals is a mental illness.  How can it be anything else?

Just yesterday a guy (liberal) in Bowling Green, KY was arrested because he pulled a Glock .40 and shoved it in a guy's face saying "You don't deserve to live", all because the guy was wearing a red "Trump" hat.

Now this black dude, some actor, is faking a hate crime against himself.  This makes at least a couple dozen of these hoaxes against the liberals perpetrated by Trump supporters.  Fact is, we don't act that way.  We have a moral compass that still points north.  And the wrath of God will come down on them if they continue to push us and try to take our liberties away.

I've read the Turner Diaries.  I realize this makes me a racist in the left's eyes.  In truth I'm not a racist - I'm a realist.  But it is a pretty good story and I can see how things might have to turn out that way if things in this country don't change.

Sheer craziness...  ::) :-\

Good to have a plan! Took us about three years to get out of uglyrado once we really got after it!

Red state, little to no snow, acreage, and water on the property were our goals and we hit them all!

the biggest problem i see with the left, they all think and talk the same way. so, to them they feel normal. just like the people in the mental institutions they think their normal as well.
there really isn't any motive to work anymore with all the free programs available today. the dems wanting more handouts comes down to a sure fire way of buys votes. sadly fellas, we have lived the last good years america had to offer. it's a fight between the common sense and the  non common sense population, we all see common sense  out numbered at least 3 to 1 and the spread is growing daily.
follow your heart, the rest will happen

I had thought that she was a bit out there but as I late I have heard several interviews with her.
The most recent being the South by Southwest Conference in Austin TX.
Listening to her speak/talk make her seem like a complete idiot and I don't mean just her ideas.
I know at 29 you may not be elegant in public speaking, heck at 65 you may not be as well but for someone in her position her level of communication is absolutely pathetic.  And that is before you actually process the  intent of what she is trying to say.

If she is a sample of the result of Boston University education I would not pay to send my kids there.  Both my wife and I discussed where and what we were doing when we were 29 and how pathetic it is that she can not communicate her ideas any better than she can.  My understanding is she grew up in the US and English is not a second language so there is no excuse there for an inability to form coherent sentences.

Speaking of folks at that conference that could not speak coherently.
Of course the Governor of my state does not come across any better.  We have know for a long time that he is not that sharp but he gets elected by the left side of the state.
The fact that his ideas are loony and he is running on a single topic, Climate Change, make him a one dimensional candidate.
