No but I can't say that I haven't tried... The best glue that I found to hold
broken belts is JB-weld. I've tried many different adhesives but only JB will
hold for a while. I want to try carpet hot melt to see how that works.

Watched a video on youtube where a guy uses iron on jeans patches, cut to size. Says they last the life of the belt. I have some unused 3X21 belts that blow the joint before touching the wood. Gonna try some patches on them in about a month or so.

I didn't realize they even still made iron on jean patches, I think it has been years since I have seen anyone use them.

There is an old time product called Barge cement that gives a strong flexible bond it was used  to connect leather and cotton flat belts also I believe contact cement would work well to join sanding belts. Shoe repair guys use a lot of barge cement. Frank C.
