Trip
« on: January 19, 2008, 09:21:19 PM »
Well, I am ouit of here on the 24th at about 2:00 in the morning, for a flight to Monteray, Calif..

I HAVE BEEN  invited to speak at a conference for the Eco Farm folks.  I will be sharing a time slot of 90 minutes with the forester of San Luis Obispo.    My topic will cover the kinds of things that can occure with and for folks that have small woodlots on their farms, across the country and other countries.  I have 45 minutes.   I will be wearing one of my special Hickery shirts with a printing on the back, of a logger and the phrase "Threated Species".  I have the emblem copywrited and all.  I will also be trying to market some safety green t  shirts with the same emblem.  I might get run out of town.  We will see.  O course I will have my infamous tin hat and Danner boots.

Since I am the primarey distrubutor of Logrite tools for the West Coast, I will be pushing them some way, as well.

More later.

With all you do Frank, it is a small wonder you don't have time to learn to use a camera.....I was thinking about where you live when a show about Bigfoot was on the other night.....now, if you see one, will it get away without saying cheese?

I thought I had already sent in a report.   Guess not.  I got in this morning at around 3:30, due to the airlines screwing things up.  I was around 8 hours later than I had planned.

I will wait abit to see if the other posting will arrrive.  If not, I will give it again.

The presentation was a success, from several points of view.
I was asked to present ways that can help some of the folks that have woodlots on their farms, to help make them more productive and cost effective in taking care of them.

The people that were in attendance are folks that produce organic food stuffs.  We had farmers that produced litterally everything from soup to nuts, jams and jellie, juices and fleece materils, as well as organically grown cotton for cloth making.

I was not sure what I was getting myself into, being and logger and all, but things worked out great.

I had a small raffle for those who attended my workshop and gave out a couple pairs of Logrite leather gloves and I had some of my copywrited t shirts with the image of a logger on the front and words on suspenders that say "threatened species".

I even promoted this forum, believe it or not.  I had some folks from Pennsylvania and Michigan that might stop around.

You are so correct, Mike.  I did have a great time.  It sounds as through I may be invited for a return engagement, next year.  I know more about what some of the folks are dealing with and will have a much better site specific presentation.   I have already begun to lay out ideas and plans for the event.
