Hi All, This was an ulgy Oak log and a pain in the back side. Had to use the boomtruck to load it with. It made some real pretty wood though.

Impressive..so where are the pictures of the boards? BTW, we are changing to a larger server, so we will have full gallery ability...right now, the picture file is limited.

I saw that kind all the time. Help me understand why you did not lay the log the other way to get the better crotch pattern?

Probably a trim cut first and since its a bandmill he can then turn it to get crotch wood

Thanks, Kirk. I have to try and think band mill, sometimes and that is a real challenge for this senioir citizen, on social security.
