Newest Addition
« on: January 24, 2008, 08:46:55 PM »
;D Hi All, Great News, I am Blessed By The BEST. I now have a 4000lb forklift to handle logs with. The best and hardest thing to believe, is the fact that this machine was given to me yesterday by a very good friend of mine. He said the good Lord put it on his heart when he saw this machine and he just had to buy it for me. That is just way too cool. This is also the same person that led me back to the Lord Jesus Christ. It's a Massey Ferguson 2500. It's old but there's not a dent in it anywhere. As far as I can tell, all it needs is a paint job and it'll look brand new. It's 18 deg here today and it fired right up and runs great. I do give thanks to My Lord Jesus. God Bless You All.  8)

(END OF GLOAT) ;D

Congradulations!  Nice unit!  I know when I got my forklift I was shocked that I had got anything done without it.  You will have a whole new perspective on logs now :)

;D Hey mike p, I use photobucket and it works great on all forums. You have to upload your pix there and it doesn't use the the forums server space. Admin may want to explore this option further. It seems to work on my forum.  8)
One more thing photobucket has a resize thingy that makes pictures the perfect size for All forums.

Photobucket works fine but when pictures get deleted from that site you end up with dead links and content lost.

We will be making the server switch monday and then we will be able to use the gallery and keep the pics on this site without any issues of them missing down the road.

:D Hi All, thought I'd post a pic or two of the forklift, fitting right in here. Very very usefull piece of equipment. I moved and stacked my logs hardwood in one stack and soft in another. This is soo cool being able to move logs, slabs & fletches with such ease. I thought I kinda had it together around here, but now,.....it's a whole new ball of wax.  8)

Mazol Tov WB...one lucky sawyer ;D
I have a question for you ...ut oh ::)   .... your Norwood. Was reading through  the catologue and they speak alot about how good they are b/c they can sit right on the ground pretty much...but so can the WM and a few others as well...right?
They also talk about how at ground level it's more comfortable but don't most users raise them up like you did anyway?

Hey woodbutcher,
I like your story how you came back to the Lord and God gave you a good friend who listens to God well enough to do something like that!! I like the testimony as much as the forklift....maybe more ;)

 Amen Buzz Sawyer, REAL Friends are very hard to come by. I have had many drinking buddy's that I thought were my friends and as soon as I stopped drinking and turned my life over to Jesus they all disappeared. That in it's self was a blessing, as had they kept coming around I would probably still be drinking today. I thank God all the time that he saved me from myself, and my so called friends. Now, I can count the people that come to see me as friends on one hand. And thats OK, I'd rather have 1 good Godly Friend than to have 1000 drinking buddy's.

BTW My log pile is growing again.

Hi Steve G.  I have the LM2000. For the money,..... I am well pleased. It has done everything I have asked or expected it to do. It cuts very true. So far I haven't had any major problems with it. I have stopped counting how many BF I have cut with it. I can't say big numbers

;D Hey Steve G. I added the lights, got them at napa. And the engine is a 23hp Briggs. If you do buy one of the Norwoods, just take your time putting it together and all will go real well. I put mine together in about 18 hours. If you get in a rush you WILL be doing it again. ;D

My first MD mill, I set up in a building with lights and often spent late nights hours sawing.  I often had to duck a few pieces of lead. :D  The idea of lights right on the carrage really get my interest up.   That might well be something I will have to seriously investigate. :o

So there is no confusion, my wife is the love of my life and my best friend.  No whip cracking from either of us.  The challenge is, she "knows" me to well and one thing she is constantly telling me is I need to learn to slow down and relax.

If I put lights on my mill, which I think I am going to do since its so much cooler to work in the evening, the challenge will be to not mill during the day ;D  As soon as I start milling both day and night she might put her foot down and "encourage" me to not mill during the day ;D

That's funny.  I get the same from my wife.  I'm still in law enforcement, used to be a logger too.  She tells me that since I have two of the most dangerous jobs, I should take up Alaskan crab fishing too and round out the top 3.  I pretended to think about it seriously and got "the look".  I love it when I can get that out of her..... ;D ;D ;D
