Oregon's govenor and the legislature are planning a stimulous package for Oregon.  Here in Polk County we have three items on the list:  The state forestry office "needs" a new carpet, ($10,000) a park 25 miles South of me is "in need" of some paving to the tune of $110,000 for just the blacktop and the main site for the employment of state senator Peter Courtney, to the tune of several tens of thousands of dollars.

Each of them will not inhance continued employment for anyone.  What a blasted joke.

I understand Frank that your Democrats are planning on installing a tracking device in all Oregon registered vehicles to track your mileage driven for tax purposes.

Is this a cause for concern?

There has been some talk in that direction, Jay.  They first do it on an experimental basis then say. "See, it works", when they juggle the numbers.   This, of course would not be brought to the people, so they could vote on the idea.  Taxation without representation.   Ever hear that phrase?

 limiting personal freedoms,
regulations..... that demand that we do  this ....and dont do that....all at the discretion of "OTHERS" who know beteer than us how we should live.....

There always seems to be a GOOD REASON for it...regulations that regulate other regulations...... 
WHere do we as a indivuals and a nation say ...enough.....seems like no end in sight, we are willing to take it like cattle....

I was sent a note some time ago, telling me I was to receive $250.00.   MY plan is to return the thing unopened to the sender.  It will be fun to see what happens.

My previous experience tells me that I will get  letter, telling me I have to accept.  My dad got visitors when he refused his social security of $64.
