my dad has been in bad health due to 58 years of smoking hes 74 now
went in to hospital on the 3 rd this month after a fall got phneona , been on a ventelatior for 17 days . mon day night they (doc)will decide on pulling the life support ventelator, as his wishes/ directive. my brother a cyropractor is fighting this . i was the power of attourney last 25+ years but he changed that & other things to my step mom last aug & my bro is making her feel guilty to sway her to his way of thinking.he is talking about fighting the will & hes still here.
the family is torn appart. my grandma at 94 doesnt understand as shes in fairly good health, so im in a mess.

Had the same issue with my Grandfather.  My aunt had the power of attorney and refused to let them pull the plug.  After three days the DR. pulled the plug regardless of her wisheess as they had his directive on file.

Our prayers are with you from this side of the country, Mike. 
We have been through similar with Alice's son, when he was shot in the head, about 24 years ago as a murder.  She decided to pull the plug and he was in the military at the time.  Thoughts and prayers across the land.
