When I lived in Arkansas, I sold "Charolei Resistant" corral lumber. I sawed 1½" thick X 6" White Oak. It was only 8'-6" long. Posts HAD to be good and solid.

Neighbor (Sheriff) rebuilt his corral 7' high, and NEVER had an ascape, even when his bull tried to climb out.  ;D ;D  Word got around, and I sold a BUNCH of "Charolei resistant" corral boards.  ;D ;D ;D
