late evening
« on: December 10, 2009, 07:31:35 AM »
redesigned a couple digits late last night, with a 70 lb. 32" block of Maple.  Ouch, to say the least.  I never knew Alice could drive so slow, to the hospital. Only broke the ends of two on left hand and about tore off the nail on one.  They had to sew it back onto the tip of the left ring finger.  Oh well, will work it for all I can get from her.

Ouch, Sorry to hear that. Things like that happen so fast. I hope you heal fast
and it doesn't spoil your Holidays.

 Feel for you, Frank.

I'm finding myself getting cuts and bruises far more numerous than just a couple years ago.  ::)

I took the end of my thumb off a few weeks ago....and it wasn't pleasant. the laticane shot they did in the end of my thumb hurt a lot worse then the truss that set down on it did.

My grandfather seemed to get banged up a lot.....and as a kid, I never seemed to get hurt, but I am like him now....I get bruised and beat up by doing the dumbest things......oh well. Getting older is a part of life.

Take care Frank.

I hope you are recuperating quickly Frank. I bounced my backhoe frame off my fingers a few years ago. In the end it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Hopefully in the end you will be as lucky as I was!

Take care,

Cary

Well, the stitches finally came out, late last Wednesday.  The fingers still look pretty rough.  The middle one on the left hand, lookd like I had used a waffle framming hammer on it, about four times.  Iam not allowed to usea chainsaw or operate the mill for about five more weeks.  Withdrawl has set in, with a vengence.

I may dig logs off the 11 foot Sequoia this Summer and have you come over and cut big timbers.

We can do that.  Let me know.

So where you been?  You were on the list to call and see what was happening.
Did you ever figure what happened to your web site?

Frank, would that be the same Sequoia that has been laying there for the last 3 years?   ;D

Frank,

Are you back to sawing yet?  How's the finger?

My son is getting into the IP business kind of through the back door of being a mail server, but he might be able to help.  I'm going to con him into helping me set up a web page, or two, three or what ever.
