All are accounted for so far.  They missed the tornados!

Flooding hasnt hit any of them yet as SBD commented the other day.

Hwy 40 is shut down, in places. He's not too far from Conway and Little Rock.  They blew the levees since his last post, and, are blowing more, plus the White and Arkansas Rivers are cresting.

I know a little about that area, and, the water will travel the low spots, of which there are many, all in his general area.

Record breaking floods all over the mid-south.

This is as bad as a fire. When the water recedes, the houses that are left will need complete rebuilding.

Only get spotty news down here. Stinking "Football" (soccer) is WAAYYYY more important than people becoming homeless.  >:( >:( >:( >:(

I have a buddy in Bebee working for the Army Corp of Enginerres and he said higway 67 is still open but lots of low spots are full of water.

He did say the white adn arkansas rivers were down today about a foot.

The news I caught today had I-40 closed on parts between Memphis and Little Rock.

Good to know. I only once saw the Buffalo River bridge, below Yellville, running over the road.  I believe it's it's over 30' from normal water level up to the roadway.

All that area down around Beebe is nearly flat, except for the creeks. I used to go down there and buy Farm Equipment at an auction.

Had a few day where we couldn't get to Jacksonville with water over the interstate between here and there.  After that went down, then the problem was between Jacksonville and Sherwood....again with water over the interstate(Hwy 167/67).  The detour to get to work would add about 1.25hrs to the normal driving day(that sucked)....

Thankfully, the water stayed down enough not to come into my garage/shop....although it got close.  Certainly not as bad as some of the folks to my southeast.....

I-40 between Brinkley and Forrest City has been closed for four days.  That 30,000+ vehicle that have to detour through tiny little towns now....heard yesterday that the detour would add approximately 6hrs to the drive that is normally 18minutes!
