I have a 52" head rig that is going on the market. It is a big unit. Perhaps 4 lowboy loads of parts and equipment. Two set of power rollers, upper nad lower. , flipper rollers to movermaterial to lower rollers, drag chain for sadust, air motor loaders, hand set charage. capable of up to 4' diameter logs, 24' long. You haul, load and dismantle. ;D
-
Well, folks, I still have the headrig. Pass the word for me will ya? I want to place a new building where the cement set, holding the sawmill.
-
If I could fit it in my truck I would bring it back with me next month ;D
-
I will put the task to some of my students that are engineers and see what we can do to make your wish come true.
-
I came up with a solution, Kirk, grind it up.
However, I believe it might be going fo Costa Rica. I have only talk at this time, but it sounds promising.
-
Of all things, I had a call Saturday from a guy who may be interested in my Meadows.
So Frank, why would you head rig be traveling to Costa Rica? I know only 2 sawyers there......
-
Well, Jay, they are plaming on being the third, I guess.
-
I was told a couple days ago to get my passport. They seem to want me to come and help them with some consulting and such. I am not sure of even doing such as thing, but Alice is getting the paperwork together for the passports. Of course, she was invited as well. I guess she could be called my consutling advisor.
-
But they could call you anything. ;) ;)
-
They might do that, before the whole show is over.
-
The man with the last word will be here next week for a look-see and we will discuss all of the ins and outs of moving the mill. ;D
-
Wwell, it is the end of January, and now word from the takers. The mill is still available. :'(
-
I have seen it.
It is a fine rig....and capable of great production. ;)
-
Welcome home, Buzz. I have yet to send the shirt off to its owner. :'( :'( :'(

Before all my "friends" chim in, I will have to try and get my wife to post the pictures as I am puter challenged. :'( :'(
-
This is old, and unfortunately I could not find some pics I had previously taken at Frank's. If you look over the top of the firewood crate you can 'see' some of the structure of the mill :)

-
It would probably take at least 4 lowboy type trailers to haul the who shabang out of here.
-

Thanks Alot Mr Mom
-
Still trying to sell the unit, but no takers. :'( :'( :'(
-
Had a strong inquirey this last week on the head rig. Talk is always cheap.
-
Where in CR was your mill supposed to go, Frank ??
-
Harold, all I can recall, is that the people had 15,000 acres of Teak to process and harvest.
-
Teak plantations are scattered all over the country. No way to tell about where it was to go.
-
Mill is still setting around and needs to be removed, soon! Willing to deal!
-
Mill is still here and for sale.
