Looks like a trapping opportunity..........or can you still do that in Oregon? ???

I have'nt checked in with recent trapping laws. People trap at will around here.

Just up the road from this spot a month ago, two cows were killed with backstrap and hind quarters taken only.

I know the farmer would love to 'trap' the rustlers responsible. :-\

We do.  People released them after the big fur boom busted.  Just hope it doesn't happen with government economists.

Kirk, this is beaver damage.

Beaver dam is downstream from these trees.

Nutria are prolific around here.

There is value in them thar stumps and log ends, boys.  Ask the owner if he is interested in disposing of the stump at ground level and the end of the tree on the ground.  I am interested. ;D

Here is a chance for you to make some fuel money, Steve.

That looks like a class one stream, Steve.  That beaver might want to be careful and not let the forestry department catch him.  He could get a big fine for falling trees within a reparian area. ::) ::) ::)

As I understand, trapping is still legal in parts of Oregan, just lots of loops to jump through.  :police:

Yep, I got some friends that have some reall problems with beavers. One site has casught at least 5 so far, in the last 5 months.  He gives the critters to someone who then processes them for a hat market.  We have a fella in Salem that manufactures $500 to $800 western style hats.  I need to see if he would make one to match the style of tin cap, I wear, for a Sunday go to meeting hat. ;D
