Post by: Stevem on June 16, 2009, 01:57:44 PM
Cam across a level like I've nere seen

24" Stanley carpenters level made of cast iron with brass bubble protector that spun around the glass tubes for protection during storage/transport.  In aboslout perfect working order.  Almost felt like workout equipment.

It does need a little paint and the rust knocked offbut that's its only problem.  I used it monday leveling some floor joist.

The old cast iron ones are sure built to last. I started out carpentry 20 years ago with an old cast iron sands level. I remember the inscription on it"Sands levels are built ot last". That was no joke!
