Title: St. Louis Woodworking show
Post by: Kirk Allen on February 09, 2008, 10:42:47 PM
My wife and I went over to  St. Louis (Collinsville, IL) today for the Woodworkers show.  I was surprised how small the show was.  There were a few more venders than the Indy show, but being so close to St. Louis I figured it would have been bigger.

Still managed to spend $100 bucks though  :(

Forgot to mention, if you own a mill, make sure you ware your sawmill shirt to any wood related show you go to.

I ended up selling 500 BF of hard maple to a wood turner for $5 a BF.  He cant seem to find any 3" stock and I just happen to have a boat load of it.   ;D

Hey, now you are starting to get like me, which is a good thing on selling things.  Well done.  Just about paid for the trip, I am sure.

Say, by the way, is your wife still selling baggies of cherry and cedar sawdust?

Cherry and Hickory for smoking at $3 for a gallon zip lock and $5 for a sandwich size zip lock of Eastern Red Cedar  ;D

Going to have to weigh the ups and downs of her sales as the Biomizer needs sawdust ;D

You may be paying her for the rites to the sawdust. ;)
