Checking in from southwest MO
« on: May 03, 2012, 11:06:40 AM »
New member, checking in.  I've been running various band mills for the past 13 years, currently using a Norwood MX34.  I do some custom cutting, and write for Sawmill & Woodlot Management magazine.  Looking forward to exchanging ideas and techniques.

Welcome aboard.  Nice to have a published author around.

My mother was from your state and I still have a flock of kin folk back your way that I've never met.

I'm the resident Lucas owner here.

Thank for the welcome!  Stevem, drop by some time when you visit your kin folks.  Always glad to talk trees and sawmills.  I remember the West Virginia show.  Rain, wind, mud.  Still amazed we pulled it off!  We're connected with the Paul Bunyan show in Ohio, now.  This Oct. we'll be running firewood processors.  Everything from hydraulic splitters to $80,000 processors.  I'd love to see a guy with a splitting maul out there in the competitions, though.
