retooling
« on: May 06, 2015, 01:06:30 AM »
Since it is time to retool I picked up a Lincoln 140 wire-feed welder.

It seems to be a very capable machine for only running on 110.

My youngest boy has been burning up a spool of wire getting some practice on it.

We use a Miller 211 Auto Set and I just bought a 141 Auto Set, same way, for flux core wire. We use this in our steel erections and construction work. The 141 is kind of limited to 3/16, but works. The 211 will do up to 1/4 inch without issue as well.

I have a friend with a 211 auto set he loves it.  I don't much care for lincoln wire feeds unless its a suitcase
