I'm envious of that yellow pine.
Red pine has knot rings every 2 or 3 foot or so. Going from clear to knots time after time plays hell on keeping perfectly straight lumber. It's fine with a razor sharp blade, but it don't take long for that sharpness to go down just a touch, then it starts wandering a tad, then more and more until you're tired of seeing the little light gaps between blade and cant when you cycle back with the carriage.
