Did you see the portable one that the "Cow College" has built. Scott Levengood has been hauling it around the state, showing it off to eveyone. I have yet to see the unit, but there was a recent article in the Capital Press (ag based newspaper),

I've only seen pictures of it. It's mentioned at the link I posted. It's hinted that it is based on the Virgina Tech design which is what the guy uses on that link.

well i havnt givein up on the container kiln yet just cant find an insulated box that im confortable with. the one i told yall about has roll up door so its out
today i started on my solar kiln it will be off of birkeys design
got 5 poles in ground & frame work for slab , i have a 12" slope in 18' so probly pour a stem wall to hold the fill , im planning 2 bays one 17.5' & one 12.5' inside dementions
