Board & Batton Siding

HI All, just starting a board and baton siding job for a guy in town. He's got a barn that is 36' X 36'. I'll be posting pix as we move along. I love sawing this stuff everything is 4/4 X 8" X 11' and 4/4 X 3" X 11'. After sawing hardwood for so long it's great to get into some softwood. Cuts like butter but I seem to be going through blades pretty swiftly. Think I'm gonna have to get more blades as the collection I have is on about it's 5th sharpening.
My Helper, Rick (Fingers) he's a working rascal, comes up with many good ideas to make things EZ'r.

Ah just kinda in between jobs right now joasis . Thank God I'm Guaranteed 32hr's. And their kind enough to let me have the time off to run my mill. They could make me come into the shop and just hang around. I've been with this outfit for the last 8 years now and they kinda like the fact that they can put the crane together, call me to go run it and forget it. We have some operators that are on the phone to the shop 5 or 6 times a day. I would put an end to that. If they can't run their machine with out having to call for instructions, something is bad wrong.
Below is the crane I operate. It's a 200 ton Linkbelt crawler crane, 175 main boom (up) and 175' Luffer (out).

Hey Buzz Sawyer, I think Hickory is the hardest I've sawn yet. It had been on the ground about a year and was much hard.
