Bustin Logs At H&W

Howdy folks, Just thought I'd post some pix of a good day at the mill.
Here's Fingers scanning for steel.
I got the toeboards when I bought the mill, but the $0.50 cent bottle jacks that norwood sells with them are useless. Only one works. Thank God I have my overhead hoist so I can swap ends when the logs need to be turned around to get the small end on the toeboard that does work.
Now we have one loaded ready to start making some sawdust.
One side down.
Rollin, Rollin, Rollin.
Checking for square.
Almost a cant.
One down.
Mills got a mouthfull. Cutting an 8" cant to flip up and mill down to 1" X 8" and getting a 3" cant for 1" X 3" at the same time.
Dang, Quit'n time already?
Two logs down, two to go. We're getting way more lumber than the logs scale.

Wow! What a terrific series of photos. Thank you so much for the inspiration of what sawing is all about. I sure like your crane idea.
