Ya, even Kirk can operate the saw.

About the only down side that Ihave found in 15 years of owening a MD mill is that I have to convert the bottom edger blade to cut timbers up to 8" x 12".  and I cannot cut such a timber in one pass like a 2 x 4.  I know the plans have been drwn and some tentative issues have been done  for makeing two permanent 19" edger blades on a stronger vertical edgerblade shaft, buty no real construction.  I knwo thet there are at least 4 of us out here on the Left Coast that want Ron to build one for us.  I have yet to convince him to get to the task.  I would buy one in a heartbeat.

No, Andy, they will not mill me in half.  I am not really sure for all of the possible price issues.  There are a number of options that can be added to and such for a mill. A couple years ago I was demoning a mill for themat the Oregon Logging conference and that mill went for just at $26,000.  It had the winch loading system and all.

Well, I just checked the membership list and see that we have 22 listed.  Who is going to be lucky number 25.  I can send them a baggy of official Oregon Douglas Fir sawdust, or?

I'm here Frank.

I'm a little confused about what was happening over yonder but I'm trusting you on where I need to be. But what the heck I've been confused for a long time.  Might have something to do with my/our age?I'll get on the Swinger side and give some input.

Glad you showed up, Steve.  Steve is a friend of mine from across the Willamette River Valley, about 60 miles and up on the Western Slope of the Cascade Range.

Thank you for joining our forum.

The west side of the Cascades has what are called Black Tail deer and they're quite small compared to the mulies in the east.  They're adapted to the heavy ubnder growth we have.  Also have a few stray white tails.
But right on the Cascade divide point every so often we get a mix of Mulie/Black Tail some locals call them Bench Legs.  Legs of a Black Tail and body of a Mulie.  When they run it's obvious they're a hybreds.  The front legs think they'er on kind of deer and the back legs think they're the other. So while on set wants to really run the other set is trying to jump or spring up and down.
