invite to Alaska
« on: August 13, 2008, 08:56:51 AM »
One of my past students invited me to come along next summer to fish with him in Alaska.  He is a licenced guide for Oregon and Alaska.  He lives neat the Coast, about 30 miles from me.  He was here a few days ago to pick up some lumber for his wife Sarah's greenhouse.  She is a past student as well.  It was a good day that day.  We spent some time in visiting and catching up.  I had not seen him for better than a year.

DONT pass it up.. Its the best time ever!

We are going up next year for 2 weeks of vacation and plan on fishing for Halibut at least two of those days.

Jesse said that it is a 45 mile ride up the river to the camp. or you could fly in with a twin or single prop plane.   I am not sure if I will even go, but the invite was fantastic. All facilities are tents only, with no floors.   At the end of the season all tents are removed and hauled back to the big city.
