long time friend
« on: August 17, 2008, 10:20:49 PM »
Lost a long time friend a couple days agoi.  He had no signs of problems of any sort.

Carlyle was a pharmesist and his wife a nurse in our community.  I even got to log some of his land, about 20 years ago.  No one was at home at the time he passed and he had not gotten to work as he was suppose to do, that day.  His wife came home to a friend who had been called to check on him.  Blast it, I have to get to bed and sleep this off.

I was honored with one of his doughters in my 7th grade class and then she honored me by being a high school cadet teacher my last year.  She is carring her folks second grandchild, due next March.

Thanks for letting me vent.

I guess the only comfort we have as Christians is the faith of a better place. I know we never want to let go, and resist it always.

And if you know where he is, he's not lost.

I have had several days to gather some thoughts and such about last week.  Thank you all for your support and thoughts.  I will be contacting the kids and wife this next week to follow up on my promises to be there for them.
