lost another student
« on: September 17, 2008, 08:32:28 AM »
I lost another student two days ago to a heart attack.  He was only 21 years old.  He also was a fire fighter for our rural fire districk, to which I was recently elected, last may.  What a tragedy.  His father was also a fire fighter for the same group.  They were a great team.

He will be getting full fireman honors this Thrusday, here in Dallas.  "Beav" was a great kid, we will surely miss him.

Was he coming back from or going to a fire call?  Legislation has been passed for survivor benefits for fallen firefighters and heart attacks are on the list of acceptable claims.

Sorry for the loss.  Was he 23 or 31?

Woops! 21 Sorry. :o

I do not believe he was going or coming from an incident, but I will check.  Thank you for the heads up on that issue, Kirk.
