Hi all,

I go by Mr Mom and have built a small band mill and doing good.
I have some little problems to work out nothing big.
I have some plans that i might need help with but money is tight so they
will be projects that come along when money comes along.
I go by Mr Mom because i stay home with my kids and take care of them.

I like the pay as you go concept! No better way to do, especially in this economy.

Sawmill is homemade.

The "nasty gram" as some have called it come from another forum that appearantly feels threatened by the presense of this one. They routinly patrol this site to see if any of their members are here and if they are they get the nasty gram trying to intimidate them to stay away.

Pic size is limited to 30K. This link has the details on setting up a gallery and loading pics. Let me know if you have any problems with it and I will help out anyway I can.

Does the Reply at the top of the page work for you? This is the first I have heard of it not working and I will double check a couple things but I know its working right now as I used it to post this.

Very Cool! I love it when people build there own stuff. I have some plans in the works for a chainsaw slabber and if it works out it will be able to be mounted on my bandsaw frame.

This is a old picture.
I do have a blade guard on it so its not so dangerours.
I am clearing a spot so i set it up for good.
The tarp thing is just no fun anymore.

Did you build it yourself Mr.Mom? I bet it works great, judging by the sawdust and slabs. What are your long term goals, like to do custom sawing for others or what?

joasis...Yep built it then cut it apart then built it again then cut it apart again then built what you see.
Many design changes,money and time.
I didnt get to fancy just wanted something to cut some lumber.
As for working great well

.....There is some things that i have to work out.
I think that most of the problems it stress in logs. Like making boards that smile at you when you finish the cut

But its getting better. I do make some good lumber.
Long term goals none right now have to build a mill shed. Need more pratice and learn to cut a log the right way.
It only cuts 9' at the longest. Going to add more track to cut 24' when i can.
