Howdy folks, I like them big'uns. Here's a nice fat oak I quarter sawed for a guy. I did it the same way Robert did in his pictorial on my forums and it made some of the prettest Q/sawn oak I've ever seen. I didn't get any good pix of the lumber but here's a pic of the log.

I like the larger logs as well. You do not have to take a great deal of time resetting logs.

Hi Frank, I've been away for a spell. No, I don't spend to much time turning logs. I have my overhead hoist in the mill building. I think thats why I don't do much mobile milling. Without the overhead hoist it pretty much takes all the fun out of it.
