Obama won the Presidency with a slim margin and a boost from an economic collapse. Race was constantly an issue....if we didn't vote for him, we were racist. If we said anything bad about him, racist.....and on and on.
Well...It is great to see our nation dispel myth and prove we can actually have a President that isn't a WASP. But really, so what?
I have never understood why Blacks embrace the party of segregation, the Democrats. Why they vote for the party that used the power of fear to deny them voting rights, and used the KKK to keep them in their social place.....the party that removes opportunity and economic achievement. Is it only because of the "promise" of equality?
The shock of ignorance continues.....when interviewed, most voters could not tell you a party platform or position....could not even come close to defining the basic differences between Democrats and Republicans.
Everyone should have the right to vote.....but would it not be wonderful if it was required to become informed first?
