Forgive me if I am wrong, but if you knew of land that would profit 20 million dollars and you could buy it for $3500.00, would you tell ANYONE about that kind of deal? 

I would buy it, sell the timber, THEN smile all the way to the bank! Unfortunately this deals just doesn't smell right!

Missed the per acre price.     Still, if its worth 20 million you would think a person would get the financing to buy it with no problem.

With half the mills in Oregon down or on a limited production schedule the big money is not buying.  I know of at two major mills that were buying overseas timber for plywood but doubt if they're doing that now with the depressed market.

The bargins are out there but risks takers with money are in short supply.
