Sounds like you have made some modifications with the trailer and all.

Ya, I welded up the trailer frame for extra lateral stability, made steel ramps, eigth stand pipes (four on each side) I'll be sawing up the rest of that Chestnut and then I'll be done with it, I would like to sell it soon, as I just don't have much time to saw with it.  Let me know if you know of any one who's interested!  Thanks Frank See ya later!

Does the '87 have the wider track than the original?  Reference: I ran one of the first models with the hydro drive in the early '70's.  It had the 2-wheel trailer and used the block and board system mostly though I had the end stands available.

The track width is the same as the standard width they use today, and I had the edger drive converted over to the power band belts (big improvement over the single edgers belts)

Well - it's sold, I recieved the down payment in the mail today. I will probably deliver the mill up to Washington a week from saturday, I will miss it but, I'm sure the new owner and his son will take good care of her!

Did Ramco do the purchasing?  I too, hope the forum was of assistance in selling you mill.  I know how it is to give one up. I have given up two MD mills.

  I don't think it was Ramco, I did have those sellers remorse feelings, on the last couple logs I cut up, The mill was working great, humming right through the cut, then "bang" I hit a 20 penny spike, luckily it only knocked off the tips of three teeth in the bottom edger. Oh well that's cutting right.  I still miss having the saw but the new owner is very happy with it and has already cut up about a dozen logs for practice, and has lots of cedar down, just waiting to be sawn up.  I have a few pic's to post just have to reduce the size so they'll fit.
